Jean McGianni Celestin is an award-winning creator who is passionate about telling stories that inspires, challenges, and connects. He is best known as the writer of the groundbreaking motion picture, THE BIRTH OF A NATION, winner of the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and African Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Diaspora Feature Film of the year.

His work spans print, film, television, radio, and podcasts, consistently exploring powerful narratives that resonate across diverse audiences.

Celestin serves on the board of directors for Candle Mountain Charity and SAM Project, and is a supporter of the Innocence Project, Beat the Streets, and HBCU Wrestling Initiative. A former collegiate wrestler at Penn State University, he is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
